Time

I participated in this campaign for One2One Network. I received a free copy of the CD to facilitate my review. By posting, I am eligible for incentives. All opinions stated are my own.

Rod Stewart has spent four decades being a rock star, three being a parent, and has a new album's worth of rollicking stories to tell. Time is his first album of new material in almost 20 years (and his hairstyle hasn't changed one bit!) I remember my parents listening to him when I was a kid and jamming out to "Have I Told You Lately"...LOL!!

I was thrilled  when I got the opportunity to review his newest cd, Time.

My favorite song from cd has to be "It's Over". This is a ballad and is hauntingly beautiful. My second favorite song has to be "Time". It's another ballad...what can I say? I'm a sucker for ballads! It is just amazing!!!

The album was born from a burst of inspiration that came while Rod was reviewing his life for his recent memoir. Rod rediscovered his voice as a songwriter and rekindled his gift for writing the honest, nerve-touching narratives that have been the cornerstone to the first three decades of his career.

Even though most of Rod's music is from "before my time" I still love it. I love that I had parents who made sure we listened to good music growing up and that I still love most of it. I have really loved having the opportunity to review Time.

Thank you One to One Network!

Rent Back

It's that time of year again.

Time for finals and packing up your dorm room (or apartment) and moving home.

But what to do with all of those leftover textbooks??
If you are me you would sell them back to the closet campus bookstore, get your $20 (when you spent $500 to buy the books in the first place), and go get a pedicure.

Well today I have a better option for you!! Are you tired of selling your college textbooks back to bookstores for a fraction of the cost you paid for them? Well have no fear rentback.com is here!

How would you like to "rent" your books out to other students and actually get paid for it? And not just one time but multiple times? Wanna know more? Here's how it works...

1. Go to rentback.com and find your books.

2. Print a shipping label (FREE) and ship your books to them.

3. They receive your books and make them available for other student sto rent.

4. Your books get rented and you get PAID.

5. Your books get returned to them and they get rented again, and again, and again...you get the point!

6. Each semester your book gets rented you get paid and this keeps happening as long as your book stays in demand.

Personally I think this is a great service and wish it had been around when I was in school. I have actually been thinking (cough cough...applying) of going back to school and if I get the opportunity this will definitely be a serivce that I will use.

Any questions please check our rentback.com and visit the help page! Or email me and I can forward you questions to my contact. Thanks!!

I'm Dreaming...

If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would you go?

I want to travel the whole globe one day but I would glady start with a trip to London. And Paris. And Venice.

I'm dreaming big here ok?

I would seriously kill for the opportunity to travel "across the pond".

I would go to London first. I want to tour Buckingham Palace, visit the National Gallery, see the Olympic Stadium, tour the Tower of London, go up in the London Eye, shop at Harrod's, take a picutre ae Platform 9 3/4 in King's Cross (Harry Potter fan here), walk through Picadilly Circus....I want to see everything!

London is so full of history and has sooo many things to do and see I would need at least two weeks there to see everything I wanted to. I said I'm dreaming big right?

The next place I would go on my dream vacation is Paris! It's just a train ride away from London right? Totally do-able in my book.

In Paris I would want to see the Eiffel Tower first. Then I would head over to the Lourve and check out some amazing artwork. I would also want to see the Notre Dame Cathedral, and visit the Pantheon, and tour the Palace of Versailles. And let's be honest. I will be in Paris so lots of wine would be consumed and I probably won't remember much...LOL!

Next stop on my dream vacation would be Venice. Because Italy is right next to France right? (I'm KIDDING...I know where Italy is!)

But that would be my next logical stop on my dream vacation. London, Paris, and then Venice!

In Venice I would want to see Saint Mark's Basilica, ride in a gondola on the Grande Canal, tour Doge's Palace, take the elevator to the top of the Campanile, and walk through the famous Rialto Market.

I heard a rumor that you could look at venere.com for a great deal on a hotel in Venice. A little birdy told me so. (Insert winky face here).

I know this post seems humerous but I really do want to travel all over the world one day. I also want to at leat set foot in all 50 states before I die. I have visited 13/50 so I still have a long way to go but it will happen!!

So again I ask you, if you could go anywhere on vacation, where would you go??
